A ten point lead for the Tories

Why do so many Brits support the Tory government?

Their poll lead since the elction in 2019 peaked at ten points.

This is the government that ‘got Brexit done’ to the exclusion of everything else including a growing pandemic which they at first ignored and then mismanaged, causing tens of thousands of unnecessary deaths.

This is the government which refuses to respect local knowledge and competence whilst collecting a Westminster top team of the worst talents.

This is a government which wants to reform the civil service whilst side-lining their function by giving contracts to firms without ferries and financial companies to provide defective PPE – all in the pursuit of personal favouritism.

This is the government which encouraged property developers to gain planning approvals for 600,000 house they didn’t build. They allowed offices to be converted into squalid window-less apartments without the need for planning permission and then decided to abolish the planning process so that more unwanted but profitable executive homes can be approved on open countryside.

This is the government that runs the world’s largest group of offshore tax havens for the benefit of its supporters and donors.

This is a corrupt government.
